OVA Part 1: Terror Reborn

Space. What some have come to refer to as "The Final Frontier". In this vast oasis of stars, and nebula are wonders beyond imagining. Worlds of beauty, and magnificence, and grand splendor. An amazing realm of infinite possibilities, with many places, and things, living or otherwise, to thrill, and behold. And yet, even this majestic expansion is not a truly safe haven. For while many wonders exist that have yet to be seen, or have already been seen - there are also horrors beyond imagination. Things in the realm of space that can dampen the soul, and bring great fear.......and sometimes even greater terror for those brave, or foolish enough to stray. Worlds of unthinkable evil, or beasts of unholy chaos who only bring death, and destruction to all around. While there have been many lifeforms who have fit this criteria fondly, only one has truly lived up to the unspeakable terrors that few dare speak of.

That one is King Ghidorah, the planet killer, and master of terror.

For eons, he has terrorized the universe with his incredible power. Venturing to an endless amount of unknowing, unsuspecting worlds - ravaging the surface of such worlds, killing billions of lives, vaporizing whole cities, and wiping it clean to the microscopic level to the point where no new life will ever be born. All for the sake of amusement, and to prove his superiority with seemingly nothing able to stop him, and no end to his reign of evil. Until he came to the small, blue sphere of a planet called earth, and brought about the extinction of its then native lifeforms known as Dinosaurs.

Little did he know that the moment his eyes met that of a simple, but special saurian fleeing from his fury - his fate was sealed.

Many times would Ghidorah come to this earth billions of years from that moment. And many times would he face against the descendants of the animal who met his gaze, and swore silent revenge against him - and the name Godzilla would forever be a brand on his soul for the rest of his life. For every encounter, every battle against this saurian creature would result in his own defeat. Even with allies of his own he would suffer humiliation after humiliation. Obsession, hate, anger, and vengeance consuming him like a flame. Until finally there came a day the universe had never thought imaginable: when King Ghidorah would face against the kaiju who would be king, and was finally vanquished in final combat. And after giving his mortal enemy the time to end an even greater evil, King Ghidorah had well, and truly been destroyed. The cosmos crying in silent joy at the end of a destructive terror who has only brought death, and misery to all. The worlds would be safer now that he was well, and finally gone.

Or perhaps not.

For in the depths of space, far beyond the reaches of earth floated the broken form of a familiar figure. One who was covered in Golden scales, had twin tails, and what resembled three heads covered in a metal frame. It was none other than Ghidorah, formerly known as Mecha-King Ghidorah. It appears that while everyone thought he was dead, he was miraculously spared from his certain doom. Only for him to suffer a fate possibly worse than death. For he remained partially conscious as he hovered through space, his body damaged almost beyond recognition: his golden scales marred black, his armor torn, and reduced to hovering scrap, and his mechanical middle head was actually vaporized. Though Bagan's form mostly shielded him from the Nova Blast, it did not spare him completely. And he had not the mercy of having to be in a coma from his incident. He was half-alive, half-dead in a mutilated form. Though he almost wished for it, it seemed Death would only deny him from his release of torment. Maybe this was hell, and he couldn't even notice. His body in constant, excruciating pain, and his mind continuously running through the one thing which kept him alive: revenge. Revenge against the one who caused this. Who was always hurting him in some way, and always brought him endless misery, and torture: Godzilla. Oh, how he longed to make that upstart pay for his sins against him. As bad as his father was, the one who nearly killed him was far worse - in that he had almost killed him. He had done the truly impossible where all others had failed. And now he was condemned to this cruel fate. Possibly never to know peace. Forced to wait for the sweet release of death. And here it came: a beaming bright light. Shining so brightly, it was amazing. This was finally it: the end of his road. It was time for him to leave this life, and cross over. Even though he still had unfinished business, it seems he would never have a chance to get it done. Now it was time to say goodbye to this life, and see what was waiting for him on the other side.

At least, until the "light" began to draw closer, and then dim away. In its place was something far more bizarre, and unbelievable. It was the size of a city-crushing meteor, dwarfing him in size by dozens of meters. Hell, by estimation, it was the size of the Xillian Mothership, if that was possible. Or at least half as big - it was hard to tell with his weakened vision. Though he could barely see, Ghidorah was able to make out this abnormal thing's physical appearance. It was aqua blue, and partially transparent. It seemed to resemble a jellyfish, but its appearance was that of a cephalopod. It had two long squid arms on the front, and two regularly long one in the back. The bottom of it was a collective clutter of tentacles, all pulling up, and pushing down as it moved. On its face were two dark blue "eyes" of a diamond shape, with a large, dark blue sphere in the center, beneath the transparent layer with tips pointing backwards at the back of its body. And on top of said layer was a bright, yellow gem of some kind, with several smaller ones circling around it. And even though he was all but dead, King Ghidorah could sense this Celestial Beast held incredible power. Ancient, incredible power which he felt predated even his own. Like some mighty, primordial force which had existed since time immemorial. And it had already taken notice in him. He felt that maybe this would soon be the end of him. But he was soon proven wrong when he felt something. Something strange happening inside his head. It took him a while, but he soon realized what it was: this being was telepathically probing him, And he could see through his own memories as he did: the worlds he had ended, the destruction he wrought, the madness he unleashed. All of it, as if it were a slideshow being displayed in his head. His life was slowly passing through his mind as this being studied him like he was a damn lab experiment.

And then it spoke in his mind in an ancient, cold, and unfeeling voice which carried an air of authority to it.

"SUCH AN INTERESTING SPECIMEN, YOU ARE."

Though he was very weak, he still found the strength to talk back. "W-what....are you?"

"I......AM BEYOND YOUR COMPREHENSION, CREATURE. AND YET YOUR PRESENCE HAS DRAWN ME TO YOU. YOU ARE A THING WORTH STUDYING."

Through grit teeth, Ghidorah strained, "Nobody studies King Ghidorah!"

"THEN IT PLEASES ME TO BE THE FIRST."

"What......do you....want....from me?"

"IT IS AS I SAID: YOU ARE A SPECIMEN I WISH TO ANALYZE. SOMEHOW, YOUR EMOTIONS HAVE DRAWN ME HERE. I CAN SENSE THEM ALL: ANGER, RAGE, HATRED, BLOODTHIRST. SAVAGE EMOTIONS I HAVE SENSED IN LIFEFORMS BEFORE. AND YET ..............I SENSE THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE. SOMETHING GREATER THAN ALL THESE FEELINGS INSIDE. I SENSE............SHAME."

Though he wanted to deny otherwise due to his pride, he knew there was no way. This creature was in his head, reading his every thoughts. It would know when he was lying. So he had no choice to admit what he knew was correct.

"Y-yes. The greatest shame imaginable: to lose to an inferior lifeform! I am the King of Terror: killer of worlds, and the mightiest being who ever lived. None have ever challenged me, and lived. And yet.........time, and again, i was defeated endlessly - BY HIM!"

As the alien's probe continued, Ghidorah's memories dug up something it had never expected to see: a charcoal grey saurian mutant with radioactive fire "AND WHO MIGHT "HE" BE?"

"Godzilla." Ghidorah hissed in a low, strained voice, as he remembered all of his encounters with the Godzilla's: from his first invasion, all the way up to his defeat above Mt. Fuji. "That upstart has torn my name through the proverbial dirt, and made a mockery of me. He has besmirched me of my status, and made me to look like a fool time and again. Him, and his accursed father!"

The alien examined the images, noticing something interesting. "AND HOW IS IT SO? FROM WHAT YOUR MEMORIES SHOW, YOU HAVE COME CLOSE TO CRUSHING THIS CREATURE MANY TIMES. WITH YOUR OWN MIGHT, YOU HAVE BROUGHT HIM TO HIS KNEES, AND PROVED SUPERIOR."

"I know! But........but only when it was just him, and me!" The memories then revealed how each instance had Godzilla's friends fighting by his side to help him. The biggest case being the Kilaak invasion. In that case, it nearly ended up being a whole army of them against him. "All of our battles - all of our confrontations had his filthy little friends in the way! Every time it seems like i would win, his interloping allies acted like cowards, and stepped in! It's because of them i truly lost - because of them i ended up as an accursed cyborg! AND HIS FAULT I NEARLY ENDED UP DE-" His two heads suddenly got caught into a horrible coughing fit. One which actually had him spitting up blood. It would appear his lungs were also damaged, as well. "To make things worse: there were times where i was forced to help him. First against the crystal clone........then against that dark hybrid god. The last one reduced me to this."

The Alien actually seemed genuinely shocked when it saw Bagan. It seemed to recognize him, and his Dark Powers. But it was not that which truly drew its intrigue: it was when the one called Godzilla became Super Godzilla. In this instance, he could sense the raw power it was unleashing. And he was in awe as he saw it eradicate Bagan, and seemingly Ghidorah. It was such an incredible display of power, it was almost beyond imagining. And yet, it could imagine what it could do with such a power - which it saw came from the bauble in his chest which it also seemed to recognize.

"And now? Now i'll never have the opportunity.......the last chance to settle the score. To finally get my revenge. And without worrying about interference from someone putting us into a draw."

It was this saying which suddenly sparked an idea in the alien's head. One that would be most beneficial for the both of them. Using its front tendrils, the alien drew Ghidorah closer to its body. Its eyes seeming to narrow as it looked at him, and he barely at it. It then asked one simple question.

"IS THIS TRULY WHAT YOU WISH FOR: REVENGE?"

Ghidorah was at first confused, but his heads weakly shook, as he told that he wanted that more than anything. The alien seemed quite pleased with this answer. Now, it was ready to make an offer he couldn't refuse.

"THEN HEED MY WORDS, MORTAL: I AM DOGORA, PRIMORDIAL OF DESTRUCTION. SIMILARLY TO YOU, I AM THE END-BRINGER OF WORLDS. BUT I DO SO AS A MEANS TO SURVIVE: FOR I CANNOT TRULY EXIST IN THIS REALITY WITHOUT EITHER A MORTAL FORM, OR A SUBSTANCE TO SUSTAIN ME. AND I SHALL NEVER SACRIFICE MY IMMORTALITY FOR SUCH A THING. AS SUCH, I REQUIRE THE ELEMENT KNOWN AS CARBON, FOUND IN PLANETS, AND LIFEFORMS, TO SUSTAIN MY FORM AND ENSURE I CONTINUE TO EXIST OUTSIDE OF MY REALM. WITH EVERY WORLD I CONSUME, MY POWER IS RESTORED AND I REMAIN STRONG."

Ghidorah was unsure what to make of all this. "Why are you telling me this?"

"BECAUSE I HAVE A PROPOSITION FOR YOU."

Curiosity fell over King Ghidorah, and it showed on what remained of his heads.

"I CAN ENSURE YOU HAVE THE REVENGE YOU SO SEEK. THOUGH I AM DESTRUCTION INCARNATE, MY FORM POSSESSES THE ESSENCE OF LIFE. I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A NEW BODY - ENHANCE YOUR FORM TO ITS EVOLUTIONARY PERFECTION. YOU WILL BE FAR MORE THAN YOU EVER WERE BEFORE. STRONGER. FASTER. MORE POWERFUL. MORE..........GRAND. AND YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO FACE YOUR ENEMY IN FAIR, SINGLE COMBAT, AND CRUSH HIM FOR GOOD."

Ghidorah had to admit to himself: that was quite the offer. If it meant he was no longer this wrecked heap any longer, he would be most happy. But he didn't live this long by being a fool: he knew there was a catch of some kind to this.

"A generous offer..........but what's in it for you?"

"IN EXCHANGE YOU ARE TO GIVE ME ONE THING IN RETURN..............THE NOVA CORE."

Ghidorah gave a confused expression before asking, "The what?"

"THE ORB WHICH GRANTED THIS.....GODZILLA HIS NEWFOUND POWERS. IT IS THE GIFT OF THE UNIVERSE. AND IT IS PERHAPS THE ONE THING - THE ONLY THING - WHICH CAN SATIATE MY HUNGER FOREVER. DESTROY THE GODZILLA IF YOU WISH, BUT BRING ME THE NOVA CORE. ONCE IT IS DONE, YOU WILL BE FREE TO DO AS YOU WISH. I WILL NOT BIND YOU, OR CONTROL YOU AS YOUR FORMER ALLIES, AND ENEMIES HAVE DONE. THERE IS NO NEED.........NOT WHEN YOU NEED ME, NOW. I AM YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO REVIVE YOURSELF - AND YOU OBTAIN REVENGE. OTHERWISE, IT IS AN ETERNITY OF ISOLATION, AND PAIN THAT AWAITS YOU FOR ALL TIME. WITH ONLY YOUR MEMORIES OF SHAME, AND DEFEAT TO KEEP YOU COMPANY. A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH FOR ONE SUCH AS YOU."

Dogora's words stung him like a venomous insect. And it all burned with the flames of truth. Revenge was all he wanted. The mere thought of it was the only thing which was keeping him alive at this point. And even though he hated to admit it, he was helpless, and worthless as he was now. He was weak. But maybe this enigmatic being could help him. However, he was unsure if he could trust him. The xillians, whom he'd been allies with for decades, had betrayed him out of fear, and distrust. That was why he used the Kilaak as he did: to avoid such a repeat. What if this being did the same thing to him? Yet that was the hard fact of the matter: he had no idea. And he could sense Dogora was a million times more powerful than him - and he openly admitted to being a destroyer, himself. Then again, if he wanted to destroy him, he could have done it the moment they met. But he didn't. So perhaps Ghidorah could put a little trust in this nigh omnipotent being for a little while. If the price was simply acquiring a simple bauble, then so be it. With his eyes clenched shut for a moment, a serious expression appeared on his face as he made the only choice he could.

"Then............i accept your terms."

"EXCELLENT."

And with that, Dogora set to work with his promise. To Ghidorah's brief concern, he pulled the dragon straight to the underside, where the clutter of tentacles began to wrap around him, and pull him inside of Dogora. At first, he figured maybe the primordial had indeed tricked him, and was just going to eat him. But pretty soon, he understood this wasn't the case. As he floated in the aqua mass that was Dogora, Ghidorah could feel himself getting better. His breaths were no longer ragged, and he could fully open his eyes again. That's when he noticed the essence of Dogora, which were the being's own cells, bonding to his body, healing him. Ghidorah was just glad he was no longer in pain anymore. However, he was soon in shock when he felt his body beginning to change. The Dogora's cells were engulfing his whole body. Only his metal half was untouched. And as the cells finished covering him, Ghidorah soon found why that was: the metal was being corroded off of his body, and breaking apart. Every servo, every little piece, and crease was being torn, and pulled off of his body. Even the ends of his tails were plucked off. Once that was done, the metal was basically spit out of Dogora, and left to be nothing but space debris. Now it was time for the Dogora's incredible regenerative cells to perform their dark magic. The layer which encased Ghidorah began glowing bright blue, and the true process began. And though it should have been painful, the process was somehow.........amazing, to say the least. He could feel his old, damaged bit being healed, and regenerated. His insides were repaired, and he could truly breath again. His legs missing skin and flesh, and his chest hole were all closed up by the cells. And to make things ever better: he felt something growing on both sides of his body, as well as in the top of his body. As seconds passed, a new pair of mighty wings began to sprout from his sides, replacing what had been lost ages ago. And from between his remaining heads, a bran new middle head had emerged, good as new. His body had been fully restored. But Dogora was not finished yet. Now King Ghidorah could feel the cells changing his form. No......not changing - improving. Somehow he could feel himself getting a few meters bigger. He felt as if he was growing stronger. And he could swear he could feel parts of his body growing something extra. His form felt much more mighty than it had ever been before.

And like that, it was done. The cells ceased glowing, and began flowing off of him. What was left was a far more fearsome, and threatening variation of the King of Terror. He knew it too, when his eyes began glowing bright blood red. A few moments later, and Dogora began to slowly release Ghidorah from his mass. Out from the way he entered, Ghidorah exited the body of the primordial with a bran new life. As if he was being reborn on this day. He felt it, too. He looked over himself, and saw that the changes were as physical as they were in power: his bright yellow skin had grown darker, and was more golden than it had been. It also looked thicker, and tougher. As if his skin had grown a new layer of scaled armor. His wings had grown a few inches in size, and the membranes each had a hook-shaped talon on each end. Growths had appeared on the edges of his chest, and his hips, as well as his heels. The former two were even darker in color, thin, and resembled some kind of lining. The latter was simply a 4-layered curve along his heel. Rows of small spikes lined along his tail reaching all the way to his tips, which were bigger than before. A rigid crest appeared on his chest, same color as the growths. And the same rows of spikes on his tails were on his necks, too, which had grown thicker, and more muscular. His horns had also grown in length, and had changed into straight antlers, reminiscent of a chinese dragon - though the outer heads were simply curved. As the sunken, red eyes examined his new form with malicious glee, Dogora positioned himself so that the smaller lifeform was in his sight.

"GHIDORAH. HOW DO YOU FEEL?"

The dragon said nothing at first. He was simply taking in his new form, and his new power at his own discretion. It was truly something magnificent, and unlike anything he'd felt before. But eventually, he did respond. And his 3 mouths curled into a horrific grin of malice, and evil.

"Just grand."

"AS PROMISED, YOU HAVE NOT SIMPLY BEEN REVITALIZED - YOU HAVE EVOLVED TO YOUR EVOLUTIONARY PEAK. POWERS YOU DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD POSSESS ARE NOW YOURS TO COMMAND. AND YOUR STRENGTH IS MANY TIMES WHAT IT ONCE WAS. YOU ARE NOW THE PINNACLE OF DESTRUCTION - AND MY GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT. I TRUST YOU ARE SATISFIED."

After being asked that question, Ghidorah's eyes scanned the area. It seems he was looking for something in particular. And his eyes soon caught it: a small, green, inhabited world. One with a peaceful race, that lived in prosperity - as his enhanced vision could see. And this only made his eyes glow with glee as he flapped his wings in the void of space.

"I will...........once i give myself a test."

Without even waiting for a response, he charged for the planet. Dogora simply watching as he did so. Seeing the planet, Dogora could see what Ghidorah had meant now. And though he could sense the lifeforms on that planet, his concerns were non-existent. Destruction was destruction: and he embodied this aspect. So it was that he watched as Ghidorah descended upon this hapless little world. There was no warning as Ghidorah ravaged everything in his sight. Gravity Bolts far stronger than ever before tore through the many cities, and landscapes of the planet. His wings tore through many towering skyscrapers, dropping them like rocks onto the frightened citizens below. Not even their paltry defenses were a match for him. He'd grown beyond even noticing such things, and eradicated them with ease. Like a mad killer, he cackled in his insane laughter as he heard the screams, and shouts of all who attempted to flee. Praying beyond hope that they would still live, and this would all be over soon. But there was no hope. In half an hour, Ghidorah had burned the surface of the nameless planet with his speed, and power. He would have taken time, but he was in a hurry. As such, he put all of his newfound might into this planet's erasure. When he left, it was nothing more than a smoldering, flaming orb. A living symbol to all that the King of Terror was now among the living once more. And as he approached his new ally, who had waited patiently for him, he roared into the heavens for all to hear.

Let the universe howl in despair: for Grand King Ghidorah has returned.

Godzilla: The Kaiju Chronicles

The End of an Era

to be continued.
Hello, everyone. And welcome to the first part of the first half of "The Kaiju Chronicles", which has been the first two seasons - 13 episodes each. But this is the conclusion to the story that i've been writing so far. Think of this as those special, or movies, or whatever, in cartoons and anime that are meant to be conclusions to the series they are a part of. A true finale. Like Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa, and Transformers Prime: Predacons Rising. Specials/films that serve as the true ending to a series - but also leave the door open for potential sequels. However, first must come the conclusion of the primary story of said series.

And in this case, it's the endless war against the vile King Ghidorah. Oh, wouldn't you know it? He DID survive his last encounter with Super Godzilla. His sacrifice didn't fully lead to his own demise - though the way his body is thrashed, he probably wishes he was. But fortune may be on his side when he unintentionally crosses paths with an ancient, and powerful godlike force. And one i don't think ANYONE was expecting, but his presentation courtesy of Kaijudude was a welcome change. The one in question is Dogora, the Space Amoeba. Who in this series looks like this: Dogora. To be frank, i didn't expect this from Kaijudude when it appeared. But when it did, i was quite thrilled. Because this version is the equivalent of villains like Galactus, and Brainiac: destroyers and devourers of worlds. Or in Dogora's case, planets with carbon (which i'm pretty sure makes up most of the earth). And no, i will not include Unicron because even though he eats worlds, there is FAR more to him than that: Chaos Bringer, and Primordial God. And in this series, Dogora is also a Primordial - which is an ancient race of godly beings who embody different aspects of reality. Dogora is the Primordial of Destruction, a little more similar to Galactus. And thanks to Ghidorah, he finds out about The Nova Core, and figures it can put an end to his hunger. So now if he destroys anything, it'll be because he WANTS to.

And he chooses Ghidorah as a means of helping him, since he's had history with the Nova Core's new owner, and the world he lives in. Dogora's also the kind of being who would have others do his work for him - but can be very persuasive when he convinces someone. Thanks to his mind-probe, he knows all the right notes to hit, and gets the 2-headed dragon to help him in exchange for a new body. And oh, yes, does he get a new body: a GRAND new body, far superior to his old one. Thanks to Dogora's cells, which absorb the essence of life a planet holds in carbon, he possesses a regenerative factor which puts Godzilla's and Orga's to shame. He can even control his cells to the point he can have them enhance another lifeform, and place them into their evolutionary peak. Meaning that Ghidorah is now at the pinnacle of his potential. And he eradicates a nameless planet to prove it.

The score i felt would be most fitting for this scene, as it would basically help inspire intrigue, and wonder. But also dread, and fear as a great evil is reborn. And now that he's back, the Grand King of Terror will have his revenge. Let's just hope Godzilla is ready for it.

Oh! Also, here's what King Ghidorah looks like now: img03.deviantart.net/1ee1/i/20…
